Kirsty-Leigh from South Africa
In her application to become a volunteer for IMAlive Kirsty-Leigh stated: “I know that there are many out in the world who can benefit from a kind word, an open heart and a listening ear. And I know, without a shadow of doubt in my heart and mind, that I can help to make a difference in the lives of those around me.” And we at IMAlive know without a shadow of a doubt that she is the person that is willing to take shifts, even last minute, that need coverage, the person that shows every person she comes into contact with the highest level of empathy and respect and the person that every supervisor is glad to have on their shift.
Marta from Spain
Marta says about herself that she does not take on projects that she isn’t passionate about and we at IMAlive can feel her passion radiate on every shift that she takes and in every chat she responds to. She can relate to the people in crisis that she speaks to while maintaining a professional distance in which she shows high levels of empathy and compassion. In addition, she manages to have a natural flow of conversation in her chats and takes away the fear of the people in crisis that they might be communicating with a robot.
We could not be prouder to have Kirsty-Leigh and Marta be our volunteers of the month of September. Congratulations to both of you!
