IMAlive Volunteers Give Thanks

We asked our volunteers what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving season.

Technology which allows me to connect with my loved ones during COVID
So many things like my friends, family, my work, music, food, water and a roof over my head.
For the health of myself and those closest to me – that we are all in these times together, staying safe but making the most of things.
Great friends and relatives helping me through my husband’s cancer treatment, cooking for me and checking that I’m ok.
I am grateful for this year; for growth and for kindness. I am thankful for love and adventures. And pets!
Very grateful for my health, my friends, family, my pets and my home, especially in this pandemic. Next to that I am thankful to be able to see, feel and hear how people are really doing, knowing that I can reach out and be there for them.
I am grateful for my health. For the family and friends I have surrounding me, for people’s compassion in these hard times we experience.
I am thankful that my husband and I both are able to work remotely in order to keep ourselves and our 7 month old son safe during this pandemic.
For friends and family
That I can see hope in an often dark and threatening world, whilst I have the love and support of those around me.
I am thankful for my pets and my family’s strong bond through tough times.
I’m so grateful for my amazing ‘soulsister’ who is always there for me. I’m blessed with my wonderful friends, and my silly cat. They make my life complete.
I am thankful for my parents, my animals, and my dearest friends, as well as positive people with out-of-the-box perspective on life, love, and happiness.
I am thankful to have people in my life who I would consider true friends; who help me through the difficult times in my life and allow me to be there for them, and who help me enjoy everything life has to offer.
Family, both by blood and the one I’ve built over time
I am thankful for professors who understand that not everyone is comfortable talking in a big class

Happy Thanksgiving
